Transportation & Shipping Solutions
Capitol Warehousing maintains its own fleet of tractors, high cube
vans, curtain-sided trailers, flatbeds, and pneumatic trailers.
Our centralized, computerized dispatch operations are staffed by
seasoned logistics professionals ensuring that your materials are
delivered safely, on-time, and in accordance with interstate regulations.
Partnerships That Save You Money
Capitol's strategic business alignments with other industry leaders
allow us to provide you with more shipping solutions. Established
lanes throughout the Midwest, along with 48-state authority, allow
us to find the most cost-effective solution that suits your needs.
Capitol Logistics has recently joined with LoadEx.com to form Capitol Logistics' Heavy Haul Division, providing the Department of Defense with a superior trucking service. This partnership also gives trucking companies and owner-operators an opportunity to have their rates submitted to the government for consideration.
In-House Shipping Fleet
Capitol's fleet consists of high-cube 53 foot dry vans, refrigerated
trailers, curtain sides, pneumatic tankers flatbeds and other specialized
trailers. Our courteous and professional drivers are licensed and
fully insured.
Third Party Logistics
At Capitol we'll identify the most effective way to transport your
products from your door to your customer's door. You get one bill
and have one contact so you have fewer headaches and more control.
Transloading Capabilities
Shipping by rail may provide a cost savings to you compared to shipping
on the road. Capitol is one of the area's only facilities to offer
transloading services. With Class A railroad lines (Canadian Pacific
Rail System) connected to our own rail siding, your freight is transloaded
to warehouse or truck based on your needs. Our railyard has capacity
for 80 railcar spots, so throughput through our facility is never
an issue.
Central Shipping Location
The Capitol fleet's home base is located just outside of Madison,
Wisconsin, surrounded by Interstates 90/94/39 and US 51/151. Our
central location allows us easy access to the Midwest's primary
highways, which means that your goods reach your customer's door
more quickly.
